Sorry if they seem long-winded.

There are several points that I need to enumerate.

The issues are complex and truth lies in the details
There likely will need to be minimal wastewater treatment

standards, because the effect on the environment can be

significant without this, though I seriously doubt that all

life would cease or have passed without it.

Plants deserve consideration, altho not soo many of those

are endangered.  Every other industry has some protection,

why not plants?

If the plant has been there first, they would have been in

charge is how I look at it.

To amend the laws and shift away from cumbersome

regulations sounds well and good, but receiving protection

does help save creatures.

The environment effects clearly is all, and it would not be

killing us now if it had been protected previously in an

adequate way.  My opinion.
The land should be studied to determine what could be

done to restore it so there can be land and not endless

malls and subdivisions.

Protecting trees and vegetation can help in many ways.

Several potential problems and corrective action can

extensively and independently give respect to the

environment.
Based on my observations  soils and the earth conservation

should be everyone’s business.

Birds, deer, and other animals identify the places they want

to live, and these are the places that are best protected in

my opinion.  Of course this is usually where someone

wants to place a subdivision, and hence all the conflicts

between interest groups.

Domestic creatures and wildlife habitats require food

to support the next generation of whatever it is– deer, etc.

Develop away from animal habitat is one idea.

Education for everyone is critical.

Hopefully if we bring all parties together in a gathering

to discuss issues before they become problems, it would

I would hope, lead to better and more effective solutions

than we have seen over years past.  From my point of

view, I always favor working together and doing what

is best for the community as a whole.

Seems like everyone I know is trying to find

some clever new business to run on the side.

Whether it is a hot dog stand in front of the courthouse

or dog sitting.  Everyone has ideas.

One lady I know is doing a partnership with a local

artist trying to get her publicity in the local

market.  Before I keep talking, how do you think

she is going to do this?

Well, she is not entirely sure yet.  her first idea was

to have a hot air balloon with the gal’s name on

it.  that was the expensive plan #1.  Then she

decided to tone down her big idea into idea #2.

#2 idea was to have the artist appear at a local art show

that was already scheduled, but to which the artiste

had not yet applied to attend.  So that is what they

are doing now.  That will be her public debut, because

believe it or not, she has never shown her work

in public.

This is more of a volunteer effort, but if it goes well,

maybe my friend will get into public relations part

time.  We shall see.

Would every judge resist temptation?

That was the puzzle he posed.

He reckoned that we are all moral human beings

and that the idea that some judges will fall is

abhorrant to him.

On the other hand, he reasoned that perhaps

his view is naive.

He referenced J. Edgar Hoover and how powerful

he was, basically because of the amount of knowledge

he had on other people.  He was way more powerful

than anyone else in the world because he had so

much power over so many people.  Nobody could

touch him, just becase he has so much info on

people and could turn any situation into the outcome

he diesired.

A good person would find that reprehensible, and yet that

is the history we have in our country.  A person with

semi-decent character would find this troublesome,

but I guess for all of us that is the history of our country

and we have to accept it.

From my perspective I guess what we need specifically

to make the country good is to teach our children

to make these critical moral distinctions. Think

about this.

How many situations do we know where people

have been placed in gray situations and were

unable to make the correct decision.  Largely,

I would assert, because they lacked the moral

development they required, when they were

younger.  They had not faced the issues.

In reality this is what I recommend.  Teach your

children well like the song goes.  They are our future.

For myself I have not purchased anything.

Living out of the main traffic couridor I really

have to think twice about going 45 min away

to buy something even if it does save me

money.

But now the real question I have has been

answered.  When I started I wondered if anyone

in their right mind would drive out to our place

to pick up some odd thing for cheap.  I have

to admit I was skeptical.  But they came.

Mostly it has been people from just around here,

many of which already knew us or where we

lived.

But now I have another test in mind.  We when bought

this place there were some old TJIs, which are

basically construction timbers but prefab and used

for joists.

they have been sitting here ever since.  I wanted to give

tehm to Habitat for Humanity, but they don’t have a

way to pick them up.  That’s when I got this idea of

craigslist perhaps somebody would want them.

They are the perfect width for a playhouse or tree house,

and in fact that’s what the previous owner was going

to use them for, but their kids grew up before they

got around to the project.

So I will let you know if I can get someone to come

out this far to get them for a couple dollars.

I will be interested is seeing what the outcome of

this experiment will be.

sure, because I do not know about cell phones

or video games, or social media or anything.

So you will not be surprise dhtat I had not

heard of this.

It’s Craigslist.  Have you heard of it?

Apparently it has been around for a while.

So recently I started selling on Craigslist,

actually following in the footsteps of a friend

who showed me what he was doing and how

he was using it to buy groceries.

It has been a few weeks and Craigslist is I must say still

doing okay for sales of things I do not need.  So much so tht

I now keep trying to look around for something more

I can sell.  Most everyone has things they nolonger

need.    Since the weather turned nice I have sold:

a twin bed
a play kitchen
5 metal shelves
2 plastic filing cabinets
a pine table
a full sized area rug
a  metal bucket
the boy’s old basketball hoop

love of the agrarian lifestyle.

This may have had lots to do with the Sears

and Roebuck farm catalog.  It had everything.

From the catalog you culd order chickens

or turkeys. Live.

You could also order the incubator and light to keep

them warm as well as a water trough and food truogh

for feeding them.

Bees were another interest.  It was beyond me how

someone could order bees and have them come in the

mail.

But then thee was my cow.

I wanted a cow.

We did not live in the country, but we did have a

big back yard.

In the far back of the yard I would play with the hose

and irrigate the land into furrows so that enough grass

would grow, I postulated, so that the cow could be

kept alinve.

I figured that this was a good idea because then the cow

could give us milk, and we wouldn’t have to buy it at the

store.

She made matching outfits for us for soecial

occassions like Christmas and Easter.

We also had a special excursion uniform.  Each

of us had the same shirt which she had sewn.

Of particular interest was the patch on baby brother’s

shirt with his name and address, and phone number.

This was in case he got lost, since he could not

recite this information yet for himself.

I have to say our mom thought of everything.

When we got to go to the movies, first we would

take our coins and go to Sav-on Drugs and buy

candy, as this was cheaper than going and buying

it directly in the theater.

That way it allowed us to have enough money to buy a

soda pop in the theater as well as a tub of popcurn.

Who could resist that.

a child it has been one of my favorites.

Which vegetable do you like?

There was one occassion, though, when I almost

had the love of spinich come back to haunt me.

Our family had just moved to a new town,and we

were in an interim new school (until the folks

found a house to buy).

At the time we were really impressed because the

school had a cafeteria with hot food for lunch.  That

was a first for us.

The very first day we had money for lunch, and they

had spinich.  Was I in heaven.  Ok, but I hadn’t tasted

it yet.  I just told the lady to pile it on, that I loved

spinich. Ha.  Boy was I sorry.

I guess instead of frozen spinich that this was the old

fashioned canned spinich. Barf.  it was horrible.  And

there I was with a big full plate of it, and lunch teachers

saying that we had to eat what was on our plate (those

were the days of eat because someone in china is

starving).

I was so embarassed, and absolutely sure that if I

took another bite I would vomit all over the

cafeteria.

Somehow I convinced the lunch teachers that I needed

to leave and when I came back to the room the bell for recess

was ringing so I just bussed my tray and ran outside.

Never will forget that incident.

so many dogs I have no idea.

Well, it wasn’t like I set out to have four

dogs, it is more like circumstances conspired

and the dogs were the final result.

Who can refuse a sob story when a living animal

is involved.  that was part of the problem.

Then finding an abandoned animal, who can

refuse to help out in that circumstance.  See

what I mean about the fates coming together

to creat the end result?

Anyway, I was going to tell you how they wanted to go

out this morning at three and then again at 5 in the morning.

And could I get back to sleep at 5– no, of course not.

So I am dang dog tired right now as I write.

Trying to make a post on the new blog.

I have had other internet projects but not a blog

specifically with it’s own website address.

On Blogger i have a blog that most of you have

seen.

On this blog I am undecided about what to do.

If I could make some money blogging that would

be good, but I have no idea how to do that.

My original thought was that I would write about

books that I have read and then put up an

ad for amazon.com so that someone could actually

purchase the book and then read it.

I may still do that.

More importantly I would like to express my ideas about

blogging and internet commerce and things like that.

When I am not working I will be here thinking of

projects and what to do next, probably more

thinking than doing of projects at this point

as I am quite busiy at work.
